Last updated: June 3, 2025

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms", "Terms of Service") carefully before using the MiniMentor.app website (the "Service") operated by Mini Mentor ("us", "we", or "our"). Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who access or use the Service, particularly our UKSPEC competency analyser.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms then you may not access the Service. This is especially important for users relying on our tools for their CEng applications or IMechE professional registration, as understanding these terms ensures proper use of our UKSPEC AI features and the UKSPEC competence framework guidance.

These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Mini Mentor. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically. We aim for these terms to be clear and comprehensive, exceeding 300 words to cover essential aspects of service use.

2. Use of Service

Mini Mentor provides an AI-powered platform to assist UK engineers in understanding and mapping their experiences to the UK-SPEC (UK Standard for Professional Engineering Competence). You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict or inhibit anyone else's use and enjoyment of the Service.

Prohibited behavior includes harassing or causing distress or inconvenience to any other user, transmitting obscene or offensive content or disrupting the normal flow of dialogue within the Service. You must not use our Service to send unsolicited commercial communications. You must not use the content on our Service for any marketing related purpose without our express written consent. The UKSPEC AI tool is designed for personal competency assessment and should not be used for commercial exploitation without permission.

3. Accounts

When you create an account with us, you must provide us information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account on our Service. You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the Service and for any activities or actions under your password, whether your password is with our Service or a third-party service.

You agree not to disclose your password to any third party. You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account. This is critical for protecting your data related to UKSPEC competencies and your CEng journey.
